About

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health at the University of Basel, Switzerland. My research focuses on the exercise response of preterm-born individuals, a population at higher risk for cardiovascular disease. Using cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), retinal imaging, and mechanistic modeling, I aim to better understand cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology in health and disease. By integrating clinical data with mechanistic models, I seek to uncover fundamental physiological insights that can inform clinical research and improve methodologies such as CPET, bridging basic science with practical applications.
